Bloomsburg Women's Soccer Falls to Kutztown

BLOOMSBURG-The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team managed to out shoot Kutztown 20-19, but could not cash in as the Golden Bears defeated the Huskies by a score of 4-0 Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea Bressler scored two goals to lead Kutztown, who picked up their first victory of the season. Jen Pyne and Raven Chiara also scored for Kutztown.

Kelly Modes (Langhorne/Neshaminy) led the way for Bloomsburg with eight shots on goal, while Lauren Hess (East Greenville/Upper Perkiomen) added four. Frances Nicoletti (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield) led the way for the Huskies in goal with nine saves.

With the loss, the Huskies fall to 4-1, 2-1 in the PSAC East.

Bloomsburg returns home on Wednesday when they host East Stroudsburg. That game will start at 7:30 p.m.
